In a world ravaged by capitalism, misinformation and climate change, humanity manufactureda  saviour called The Jesus Machine to guide them out of their mess. Paige, the teenage host, refuses to divulge the answer to save humanity and instead flees to the remote shores of Australia. Here she meets Remy, a body-mod doctor searching for her daughter.

In exchange for her daughter’s location, Remy agrees to shepherd Paige towards safety, a dangerous journey pursued by the government and rebel forces searching for humanity’s only hope, but what if the answer to saving the planet isn’t to save us at all.
